Google search market share is up to 63% in August

Sept. 19, according to foreign media, market research firm comScore released a report Thursday that the Google search engine market dominance is being further strengthened.

The report shows that in August, 63% of U.S. Internet users use Google search than the same period last year, an increase of 56.5 percent, up from the second, three competitors Yahoo and Microsoft's market share. In August, Yahoo market share decreased to 16.9 percent, down from July's 20.5 percent market share, in the same period last year, Yahoo's market share to 23.3 percent. Microsoft's market share from 8.9 percent in July decreased to 8.3 percent over the same period last year, 11.3 percent of the market share of nearly 27%.

comScore data does not include maps, the local phone book, as well as users to submit video search site. Lehman Brothers analyst Douglas An Musi (Douglas Anmuth) that the report showed that Google continues to maintain the advantage in search, its stock is still the preferred investment.

Thursday, Google shares closed at 439.08 U.S. dollars, up 24.59 U.S. dollars, an increase of 5.9 percent.
